FOX Sports Adds Two Years to Agreement Announced In October,

Three More NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Races and 14 NASCAR Nationwide Series Events

FOX Sports and NASCAR solidified their future together last October when they announced a multi-platform, multi-series media rights agreement through 2022. Less than 10 months later, the two organizations announced they have extended that agreement, which begins in 2015 and runs through 2024. In addition, FOX Sports has added exclusive rights to three more NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events and the first 14 NASCAR Nationwide Series events of each season. FOX Sports secured exclusive rights to the entire NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season through 2022 last fall and that part of the agreement also has been extended through 2024.  Continue reading →

From dirt, to a triangular shaped race track, the Truck Series has had its variety over the past week-and-a-half. Although Eldora was unique and exciting, it’s time to move on and inch closer to crowning this year’s champion. With Pocono on the schedule for only a few seasons, drivers are figuring out the triangle quickly, making for phenomenal racing. Fan Perspective – The Least Popular Banner in NASCAR

nascar-on-tntIf you’ve been watching the last two Sprint Cup races at Pocono and Michigan on TV, then you’ve probably noticed TNT’s new addition this season. The sponsor banner.

Covering a whole line on the top of the screen is this large banner which advertises for multiple companies over the course of the race. It has been a nuisance to fans, because it tends to cover up a good part of the live race. TNT is always trying to slide these little things in during their ‘Summer Series’ of racing and once again this year, their new aspect to the race broadcast has fans up in arms. Continue reading →
