As it has annually for more than two decades, Charlotte Motor Speedway welcomed more than 150 track safety professionals over the weekend for a two-day training session to hone their skills and prepare for the upcoming race season.

Personnel from 10 NASCAR facilities – including Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway – received hands-on safety training for all events at the speedway. The official 2013 Sprint Cup schedule is finally out. You can now book those travel plans for your favorite race. The schedule is practically identical to this past season so no one’s plans will change. Kansas Speedway, October 6, and Talladega Superspeedway, October 20, will swap back their original dates from 2011. The dates were swapped in 2012 due to the repave at Kansas Speedway. We can expect bigger changes in 2014 but here is the official 2013 Sprint Cup schedule. Continue reading →
