This episode centers around Daytona International Speedway for the NASCAR season openers for Cup, Xfinity, and Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series along with the ARCA East at New Smyrna Speedway and ARCA at Daytona. We’ll also give a few updates from the ARCA West along with pre-race audio from drivers as time permits.

Sam Mayer Uses Late Surge to Win at New Smyrna

New year, new series, same Sam.

In his first race as defending ARCA Menards Series East champion, Sam Mayer used a late pass on Ty Gibbs to win the Skip’s Western Outfitters 175 at New Smyrna Speedway.

It’s Mayer’s fifth career series win and comes one year after his fourth-place finish in the 2019 season opener.

Ten Drivers Compete in NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – Nicholas Sanchez walked to the Rev Racing transporters in the New Smyrna Speedway infield looking for a bottle of water and a chance to take a deep breath. A huge smile on his face and maybe a little swagger in his step, Sanchez said he was just told he was quickest of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity candidates in their first on-track test session Wednesday morning.
