Dominique Van Wieringen Set for NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Debut at Phoenix

Carrying some momentum from the end of her rookie season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE), Canadian Dominique Van Wieringen (@DominiqueRacing) will make her NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut Friday night at Phoenix International Raceway.

For Friday night’s penultimate race of the season, Van Wieringen and her Rette Jones Racing (RJR) team have formed an alliance with Young’s Motorsports putting Van Wieringen in the No. 02 Durobyte Ford F-150 for the Lucas Oil 150. Continue reading

Cindric Piloting Third BKR Entry at Phoenix

On November 3rd, Brad Keselowski Racing announced that Austin Cindric will drive a third entry for the organization in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race on November 11 at Phoenix (Avondale, Ariz.) International Raceway.  PIRTEK, the industry leader in fluid transfer solution sales and service in the United States, will serve as primary sponsor of the No. 2 Ford F-150 driven by Cindric at Phoenix.

Cindric, 18, will be attempting his sixth career NCWTS start and fourth of the 2016 season.  He will be making his second start at Phoenix, the first time Cindric has competed at the same track more than once.  In 2015, Cindric scored a respectable 14th-place finish at the one-mile desert oval.

Noah Gragson Making Truck Series Debut at Phoenix International Raceway

Noah Gragson is making his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR) in the running of the Lucas Oil 150 Friday, November 11th.

Gragson is piloting the No. 18 Speed Vegas/ Alert ID Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) Toyota Tundra entry, owned by Richie Wauters at the Avondale, Arizona track.

The 18-year-old NASCAR Next driver started in the Bandoleros at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, eventually moving into late models.  In 2015, Noah joined the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West making his series debut at Kern County Raceway Park. He finished third after qualifying eighth. At Tucson Raceway Park, Gragson battled with his teammate for his first career victory. Later in the season at Meridian (Idaho) Speedway, he recorded his first pole position and led 176 laps to win. Continue reading

Ryan Reed Remains within Striking Distance in XFINITY Series Chase after Texas

Ryan Reed and the No. 16 Lilly Diabetes/American Diabetes Association team earned a top-15 finish on Saturday afternoon at Texas Motor Speedway, crossing the finish line in 12th.  The finish keeps Reed within striking distance in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Chase approaching next weekend’s cutoff race at Phoenix International Raceway.

After two practice sessions on Friday, the NXS set the starting lineup with a three-round qualifying session on Saturday morning.  Reed made it past the first round of qualifying, but with just a handful of seconds left in the second round was bumped from the top-12 and ultimately earned a 13th-place starting position.
