The famous yard of bricks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway was home to a new series last season, and once again in 2013, the that series is returning for their next race. A successful debut at the world-famous circuit has the Nationwide Series returning this weekend for the second annual Indiana 250. Cup regulars stole the show by using their track experience last season, but the Nationwide regulars are prepared to put up a fight with one race under their belts. It will be their time to shine. The Nationwide Series has a rare stand alone weekend at the Chicagoland Speedway this weekend, allowing some of the series’ best to take the spotlight. A few Sprint Cup drivers will also be in the field, but for the most part, it will be the Nationwide Series’ best going for the victory. Daytona International Speedway will roar back to life this Friday Night as the Nationwide Series cars embark on the high-speed oval for the second time this season. Back in February, disaster struck in their race. A huge wreck coming to the checker put Kyle Larson’s car into the catch fence, tearing it apart. Many fans were injured and it became a race that many hoped to forget. As the series returns to the track this weekend, a safe and action-packed race is what everyone wants to see. They’ll turn left, then right, and then right again on Saturday afternoon when the Nationwide Series rolls into Elkhart Lake, WI for their first of three road course races this season. In years past, races at Road America never seem to be lacking excitement. Wild restarts and hot tempers have highlighted past races which always categorize this race as one of the best of season.
