NASCAR XFINITY Series teams will race the Alsco 300 for 300 miles over 200 laps at Kentucky Speedway on Friday, July 8th.  Television coverage starts at 8:30 pm ET on NBCSN with radio coverage available at PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

Brand New Kentucky Speedway Awaits the NASCAR XFINITY Series

Crew chiefs can toss out their old notes because Kentucky Speedway underwent a full repave during the off-season and its new surface debuts this weekend when all three of NASCAR’s national series head to The Bluegrass State.

In addition to the repave, turns one and two had their banking increased from 14 to 17 degrees. The racing groove narrowed in the process. Turns three and four stay at 14 degrees. Continue reading →

Ty Dillon Searches for Win at Daytona International Speedway

Including the last NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Iowa, Ty Dillon has registered three runner-up finishes and 22 top-five showings since his last win 61 starts ago at Indianapolis (2014).

Known to have a “winning means everything” mindset, Dillon will attempt to make his next visit to Victory Lane in Friday’s Subway Firecracker 250 presented by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway (7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN).

In six starts at The World Center of Racing, the No. 3 Richard Childress Racing driver claims one top-five finish (a third-place showing in 2015) and two top-10 performances. Dillon won the pole in his last start at Daytona in February, but finished 13th. Continue reading →

NASCAR XFINITY Series teams are taking a well-deserved break this weekend and will return to action next Friday, July 1st for 100 laps covering 250 miles in the Subway Firecracker 250 powered by Coca-Cola at Daytona International Speedway. This marks the season debut for NBC Sports Network as they begin coverage at 7 pm ET with a green flag around 7:30 pm ET. Radio coverage is available on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

Chase Outlook: The Skinny on Where the Winners Shake Out

A little down time due to the off-weekend provides the perfect setting to take a look ahead at the three drivers who have raced their way into the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase with wins – Erik Jones, Daniel Suárez and Elliott Sadler.

If the XFINITY Series Chase were to start today, Joe Gibbs Racing’s Erik Jones would be seeded in the No. 1 position. Jones is now seventh in the standings but has two wins at Bristol and Dover this season, giving him six bonus points once the Chase begins. JGR’s Sunoco Rookie candidate, Jones, has been quite impressive this season, posting five poles and a series leading eight top-fives. Logano Captures First Win of Season; Becomes Tenth Different Race Winner

Joey Logano led 138-of-200 laps on his way to Victory Lane in Sunday’s FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway for his first win of the 2016 season.
The No. 22 Team Penske Ford driver became the tenth different winner in 15 races this year and posted a near-perfect 149.2 driver rating. His triumph marked the 100th victory for Roush-Yates Engines. Continue reading →
