Kyle Larson Looking to Upset the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase, as a Non-Chaser

It’s a NASCAR triple-header this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway with the Camping World Trucks and the XFINITY Series races in the books. On Sunday, September 20th, the Sprint Cup teams will take to the track for their first race of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. While most are looking for a Chase driver victory, the possibility for a non-Chase winner could make it interesting. Kyle Larson wants to be that guy, at some point during the Chase.  Continue reading

Paul Menard is Stepping it Up a Little Bit in the Chase – It All Begins at Chicagoland Speedway

Get ready fans, the Chase is about to go full force ahead at Chicagoland Speedway and the new guys are aligning themselves and their teams into position to compete against the bigger, more experienced teams with hopes of emerging as the underdogs and going for the NASCAR Sprint Cup title.

Overall this season, Richard Childress Racing teams have fared well, and now have two teams in this year’s Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. One of those teams is the No. 27 of Paul Menard, who is contending in the Chase for the first time.  Continue reading

Hey race fans, catch our NASCAR Chase Weekend Preview with host Sharon Burton from Fan4Racing, and co-host Chris Knight from Catchfence, along with our Fan4Racing writer, Steve Dando.

We’re chatting about all the hottest topics and what fans can expect at the track over the upcoming weekend of racing at Chicagoland Speedway, where the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series begins.

As part of our preview we’ll also cover the XFINITY and Camping World Truck Series at Chicagoland Speedway, as well as the ARCA Racing Series at Salem Speedway. The  K&N West teams return to action in October.

Chase Elliott is Rising to Top with JR Motorsports in the NASCAR XFINITY Series

As a 19-year-old Georgia native, Chase Elliott is one of NASCAR’s brightest young stars. He’s consistently won at every level of motorsport from ARCA to the Camping World Truck Series.  As the son of NASCAR hall of fame driver Bill Elliott, winning may literally be in his DNA. As a racer, the young Elliott is mature, poised and humble. He is extremely honest with himself and is his own toughest critic.

This rare set of characteristics will serve him well in 2016, as he moves full-time into the Sprint Cup Series. Elliott is taking over driving duties in the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet , now driven by four-time champion Jeff Gordon. He will have some big shoes to fill, but I feel the fast ‘young gun’ has the feet to fill them. Continue reading
