For Rookie of the Year candidate, Cameron Hayley the 2015 season has been impressive and especially in the last four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races with consecutive top-ten finishes, including a tenth-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway last Friday night.

The ThorSport Racing driver, topped the charts in the last practice session on Thursday night, then Hayley qualified 14th in this No. 13 truck on Saturday afternoon. Hayley’s top-ten finish in the WinStar Casino 350 was also his 12th of the 2015 season.  Continue reading →

Martinsville Victory Revives Matt Crafton’s Truck Series Title Hopes

Those who were delivering a post-mortem to Matt Crafton’s hopes for a third straight NASCAR Camping World Truck Series title after last weekend’s race at Talladega learned on Saturday that the lid on the coffin is far from nailed shut.

Crafton survived five restarts in the last 50 laps of Saturday’s Kroger 200 at Martinsville Speedway and won the race by 0.396 seconds over John Hunter Nemechek, who shoved third-place finisher Cameron Hayley out-of-the-way after a restart with two laps left to secure the runner-up position. John Wes Townley Scores First Truck Series Victory In Las Vegas

John Wes Townley collected his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday night, saving just enough fuel during his last run to win the Rhino Linings 350.

Townley, who qualified his No. 05 Chevrolet second, battled among the top-five for much of the race taking the lead from two-time series champion Matt Crafton with five laps to go when Crafton had to pit road for a splash of fuel.

Townley’s victory came in the Georgia veteran’s 89th career start. He scored a previous-best finish of third at Texas Motor Speedway in June. His best performance at Las Vegas had been a seventh place.

Both Townley and crew chief Michael Shelton credited the team’s spotter, Terry Cook, for coaching Townley through the deciding laps. Continue reading →

Tagliani to Run Second Career Truck Race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park

Alex Tagliani – a native of Montreal, Quebec, Canada – hopes to keep the trophy in his home country after he competes in Sunday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport).

Tagliani will pilot the No. 29 Brad Keselowski Racing Ford F-150. Last season’s race at Mosport marked the first and only other time Tagliani drove in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He won the Keystone Light Pole Award and finished 16th. Continue reading →
