The clock struck one for rookie Darrell Wallace Jr. on Saturday afternoon at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, as he earned his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win in the Kroger 250.

By claiming the victory, Wallace Jr., who turned 20 on October 8 became the first African-American driver to win a NASCAR national touring series event since Wendell Scott won in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) on December 1, 1963 in Jacksonville, Fla., a span of five decades. Ty Dillon Picks Up Second Truck Series Win

Picking up his second series win, Ty Dillon did exactly what he did to get his first win, by passing Kyle Busch for the lead in the closing laps of the race.

By the end of the race, Dillon crossed the finished line 5.736 seconds ahead of Brad Keselowski, winning Thursday night’s UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway. Kyle Busch finished third, followed by 2012 series champion James Buescher and Ryan Blaney. Continue reading →
