Pastrana Headlines Autograph Sessions at Talladega for Nationwide/ARCA Series; ARCA Fan Walk Set

Talladega_Superspeed_CNoted extreme sports star Travis Pastrana, who is turning heads in NASCAR with strong runs in 2013, is among a host of young talented drivers who are scheduled to appear as part of a Nationwide Series autograph session at Talladega Superspeedway on Friday, May 3, the kickoff to Aaron’s Dream Weekend. In addition, the stars of the ARCA Racing Series will meet with fans as part of the ARCA Fan Walk and autograph session.

Centered on a jam-packed day that will see three different divisions of racing on track – the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the ARCA Racing Series – the autograph sessions and fan walk will give fans an opportunity to see the drivers in a “locker room” type atmosphere.

The ARCA Fan Walk and autograph session will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the ARCA Garage and is open to all guests with an infield admission.  Fans will be given the unique opportunity to view the teams’ cars, watch the crews adjusting the machines, and get an autograph from the ARCA drivers and crew members.  All of this exclusive access is given to the fans only hours before the green flag waves to start the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 250 at 4:00 p.m.

Following the events in the ARCA Garage, the stars of the Nationwide Series will be out in the grandstands signing autographs from 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Pastrana, driver of the No. 60 Roush Fenway Ford, as well as Regan Smith, who drives for Jr. Motorsports and is ranked second in the title chase, are scheduled to participate.  Pastrana will be making his ‘Dega debut, while Smith placed fifth in last October’s Sprint Cup Series Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500 at Talladega.

“Talladega Superspeedway prides itself on providing fans with the best possible experience while they are here at the track,” said track Chairman Grant Lynch.  “On the track we are known for having the most competitive races in the sport, but off the track we have some of the finest amenities for all of our loyal guests.  The Nationwide autograph session and ARCA Fan Walk are two more fan-tastic activities added to a weekend absolutely filled with excitement.”

The fan walk will be held in the ARCA garage and is open to all infield guests. Free tram service will move guests in and out of the ARCA garage area.  The NASCAR Nationwide Series autograph session will be held on the concourse area behind the OV Hill South grandstand sections D & E.  Wristbands for the autograph session can be picked up for free from the Guest Services Office located at OV Hill South Grandstand, Section L.  Driver participation is subject to change and without notice. Neither NASCAR, Inc., nor any of its affiliates are sponsors of this promotion.
