MIS hosting fan carnival during Quicken Loans 400 weekend
Step right up and get your carnival fix during the Quicken Loans 400 weekend.
Located on the frontstretch between the start/finish line and Turn one, the MIS carnival is your place to experience the thrills and delights of a traveling carnival during race weekend.
“A NASCAR weekend at Michigan International Speedway is more than a race – it’s an experience. So we are always looking for fun ways to elevate that experience and give our guests a weekend to remember,” MIS President Roger Curtis said.
The carnival will feature rides for both the kids and adults in your group. Are there thrill-seekers among you? Dare them to board Cliff Hanger, a high-flying hang gliding experience, or coax them on to Zero Gravity, a spinning gravitational thrill that won’t let you escape, literally.
Maybe you are looking for more fun-for-all-ages adventure? Take the kids on the Merry-Go-Round or re-create your favorite NASCAR crash kid-style with the Bumper Cars. Or let your little one drive a car, tractor or dune buggy on the Hampton Combo, a circular track attached to a central spoke.
There will also be a Ferris wheel that lights up at night located at the Budweiser Party Porch in Turn four.
No carnival is complete without games and the MIS carnival will have numerous opportunities to test your skill. Try to the cork gun and win a prize or test your luck in the speed pitch or try to score the winning hoop in the basketball challenge.
Who can forget the wonderful food at the carnival? There is no carnival food like funnel cake and it will be proudly offered at the MIS carnival. Everyone likes candy and you’ll be able to get your sweet tooth fix at the Candy Factory. Also try a lemonade shake-up, a refreshing carnival classic.
The carnival will be open Friday through Sunday from the times the gates open to the drop of the green flag. Admittance to the carnival will be $20 per day or $45 for all-weekend admittance. Guests can also purchase individual ride tickets. There are no height restrictions, so anyone can ride!
Coupled with the new MIS Welcome Center , the New Holland Fan Plaza and all the other MIS race week experiences, the MIS carnival is an ode to Michigan International Speedway’s reputation as the most fan-friendly facility in NASCAR.
