Devin Jones grew up in California, becoming one of the youngest IKF go-karting experts ever at the age of 11 and after winning two ‘Duffy’ Grand National Championships in the same year.  Amazingly he also earned WKA’s Grand National ‘Eagle’ and Gold Cup titles as the ‘most winning’ Cadet racer in Southern CA.

And that was just the beginning, inspiring this young racer to move his Devin Jones Racing team east to Moorseville, NC in 2007. Just after his 13th birthday, Jones began racing a Legend Car in the highly competitive series. In his first eight months of competition, Jones won eight races, with 36 top-fives, earning the honor of advancing from Semi-Pro to the Pro class, just two months before his 14th birthday celebration.

By 2009, Jones was racing a partial schedule in a Super Late Model as part of the PASS South. His first year in the series, Jones finished an impressive ninth in the point standings, despite racing only four of 14 events. Jones qualified in the top-ten and finished with multiple top-tens and a top-three at Hickory.

With some PASS South races under his belt, the next year – 2010 – Jones racked up more top-tens and top-five finishes in the most competitive Super Late Model series in the country. The only blemishes this season were motor issues at Wake County, Dillon and Orange County, taking him out of the race – all when leading. Despite those challenging events, Jones maintained his top-five points position all season.

Trying his hand at open-wheel, Jones ran selected Skip Barber National Series events in 2011 along with Late Model Stock races at the historic Hickory Motor Speedway. In just his second start at Homestead-Miami, FL, and in the open wheel venue, Jones scored back-to-back podium finishes. In eight events at Hickory, Jones earned three top-five finishes and six top-tens to complement a pole qualifying run during the August 20th event.

The 2012 season brought Jones to the UARA-STARs Late Model Stock touring series, earning his first series’ pole and completing the season with two top-fives and eight top-tens.

Devin Jones considers 2013 a landmark season, making his first start in the NASCAR’s Camping World Truck series at Martinsville Speedway on April 6th. Jones is also racing a full UARA-STARS campaign, in pursuit of his first championship in the series.
