Fans Can Get Closer to the Action and Support Speedway Children’s Charities with VIP Experiences During Bank of America 500 Weekend

Fans can now bid on a “Ride of A Lifetime” auction with some of the biggest stars in NASCAR or other exciting VIP Bank of America 500 weekend experiences, all while helping support Speedway Children’s Charities.

With the Bank of America 500 race weekend coming up, Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) is offering many ways for fans to enhance the fan racing experience. Through next week, various auctions are available online such as a Ride of a Lifetime with the stars of NASCAR, a meet & greet with prerace concert act the Goo Goo Dolls and other VIP experiences, including a trip to Victory Lane. Besides auctions, fans can donate directly to this great cause and attend SCC-sponsored functions such as NASCAR Night and the Ultimate Fan Track Walk where 100 percent of the proceeds support SCC programs.

Ultimate Fan Track Walk

Before the NASCAR Sprint Cup stars hit the speedway for the Bank of America 500, the track will light up with a variety of prerace entertainment. Fans can start their race day off right by helping raise money for SCC and walking the track with NASCAR drivers like J.J. Yeley and Josh Wise. The track walk begins at 1:20 p.m. Tickets are only $20 in advance or $25 the day of the event and kids 13 and under get to walk for free. Don’t miss the chance to see Charlotte Motor Speedway the way the stars of NASCAR see it.

Ride of a Lifetime

Who wouldn’t want the ride of a lifetime at the Greatest Place to See the Chase? Fans have the opportunity to take a parade lap with a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver during the pre-race ceremonies for the Bank of America 500 on Saturday, Oct. 12. Drivers include Dale Earnhardt Jr., Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and more. Twenty fans will not only ride with a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver during the prerace parade lap, but will also attend the drivers’ meeting and receive a tour of the garage and pit area. Can’t make it to the Bank of America 500? Ride of a Lifetime packages are available for the Dollar General 300 as well. Twelve online auction winners will ride with a NASCAR Nationwide Series driver and also receive pit/infield passes for them and a guest to enjoy. The auction for these once-in-a-lifetime opportunities end Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 12 p.m., so don’t miss out.

Goo Goo Dolls Meet & Greet

Before the green flag drops on the Bank of America 500, rock alternative group the Goo Goo Dolls will take to the stage for the Fast Cars & Guitars concert presented by Bad Boy Buggies.

With what is guaranteed to be a spectacular show, fans have the chance to meet the guys of the band before they perform. In addition, those same fans will receive two club seats to watch all the racing action under the lights during the Bank of America 500. For a chance to experience the rock star life, take part in this auction before it closes Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 3 p.m.

NASCAR Night at zMAX Dragway

Tuesday night zMAX Dragway will come to life when NASCAR team members race their personal vehicles down the Bellagio of dragstrips for NASCAR Night. With a $5 donation to SCC, fans can watch the high-speed fun. Aside from team member races, NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Kurt Busch will speed down the only four-lane, all concrete dragstrip in the world. Don’t wait till next weekend to get the ultimate speed fix.

Wave the Green Flag

Fans will have the unique opportunity to wave the green flag for a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver’s qualifying lap on Bojangles’ Pole Night and help children in need. For just a $200 donation to SCC, fans can climb the flag stand to be an “honorary starter.” Fans interested should email lstarnes@speedwaycharities.org or call 704-455-4426.

Other VIP packages are available through the SCC website including a meet and greet with defending NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion, James Buescher, and a victory lane package where you and a guest can celebrate with the Bank of America 500 winner in Victory Lane.
