Busch Cruises to Sixth NCWTS Victory at Charlotte

In another impressive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series performance, Kyle Busch took his third series victory of the season.

This was his sixth Truck Series victory at Charlotte Motor Speedway where he proves his prowess in just about every race he enters. The No. 51 truck faced little competition throughout the night as he prevailed on the many restarts in the event.

Like his victory last weekend at Kansas, Busch was on the pole and led early. He would keep up the lead for most of the race as other trucks were only able to grab the lead for one or two laps at a time.

Ryan Ellis and Sean Corr had a series of run-ins throughout the race. The first came on Lap 29 when they both spun in turn 2 to bring out the second caution.

Corr displayed his displeasure on Lap 86 when he deliberately turned Ellis in the middle of the backstretch. Ellis was not injured in the incident.

Championship contenders Ryan Blaney and Brian Ickler were in wrecks for the second straight week.

When John Wes Townley squeezed Blaney down into the grass on the frontstretch, the front end of his truck was severely damaged. The No. 29 then shot back up the track into traffic where he slammed Ickler and his truck into the outside wall.

The race featured a total of nine cautions. This led to multiple restarts and opportunities for drivers to pass Busch, but the No. 51 truck was too strong as he held off the field on every time.

The race ended under caution following an incident involving Townley, Jeb Burton and Norm Benning. Busch was ahead at the time of the yellow-flag and took the victory.

The next NCWTS race is at Dover International Speedway in two weeks for the Lucas Oil 200.
