Johnson Reclaims Charlotte Glory with Superb Coca-Cola 600 Performance

From lap one to lap 400, Sunday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway belonged solely to Jimmie Johnson. Johnson and his No. 48 team dominated as they perfectly executed a game plan en route to their first victory of the year.

Rarely does this team go too far into the season without scoring a victory. However, the team wasn’t fazed by the somewhat slow start this year. Demonstrating their strength as team in this race, Johnson once again proved why he’s a six-time champion. Continue reading

Pursley Goes Two-for-Two at Kern County Raceway Park

Greg Pursley put the stop to David Mayhew’s K&N West domination with a victory in the Armed Forces 150 at Kern County Raceway Park. Pursley and Mayhew had to slow down to avoid the No. 18 car of Bill Kann, who got going again after spinning out.  NASCAR didn’t throw the caution as the No. 26 car went low and Mayhew went high as Pursley came out with the lead for the last time. Kyle Larson was the star of the show Saturday at Charlotte Motor Speedway, picking up his second career NASCAR Nationwide win in the HISTORY 300. He outlasted a bevy of solid NASCAR veterans, including second-place finisher Brad Keselowski, third-place Kyle Busch and fourth-place Kevin Harvick. Continue reading

Chaves Finishes One Spot Better in Freedom 100

Gabby Chaves lost the 2013 Freedom 100 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway by six inches in a four-wide finish. Driving for the same team that beat him one year ago, the No. 5 car was once again on top. Chaves timed the winning move perfectly, going to the outside of Matthew Brabham to get Belardi Racing back-to-back victories in the Freedom 100. Continue reading
