Motor City Masters is off to the races. truTV’s new car design competition is at the center of an immersive car-design installation at Pocono Raceway’s Fan Fair for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series from Pocono 400 during the weekend of June 7-8. Smith, Sadler Pressure Packed Championship Run Continues

The Nationwide Series is heading into an open weekend giving drivers a chance to catch their breath before taking on their longest stretch on the schedule.

After 12 races, first place Regan Smith and second place, Elliott Sadler have a mere four-point difference in the series standings. Smith and Sadler are the class of the series, but they’re watching their rear view mirror for third-place Chase Elliott, a two-time winner and rookie contender.

Camping World Truck Series Winstar World Casino and Resort 400k Preview

The Camping World Truck Series heads to the Texas Motor Speedway for its first of two visits there on Friday night.

Joe and John Hunter Nemechek have split the No. 8 truck this season for the SWM-NEMCO Motorsports team.  John Hunter finished sixth last week at Dover.

The ARCA Racing Series stays in the Northeast this weekend, traveling from New Jersey Motorsports Park to Pocono Raceway.

The teams will tackle the Tricky Triangle on Saturday for the 58th time in ARCA history.

Looking at the entry list, the name that sticks out the most is Sprint Cup rookie Kyle Larson, who will drive an entry for Turner Scott Motorsports to gain extra track time for Sunday’s race. Continue reading

Throwback Thursday – Logano Wins in First Trip to Pocono

Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) put a young Joey Logano in the Sprint Cup Series full-time in 2009.  The 18-year-old took over the vacated seat in the No. 20 car from Tony Stewart.

The Cup rookie never saw Pocono Raceway until June.  JGR decided to enter Logano in the ARCA race on Saturday for more track time. Logano took to the Tricky Triangle early by setting the fastest time in practice. With qualifying rained out, the No. 25 Home Depot Toyota had to start in fourth-place. Continue reading
