Below are the finishes each driver/owner/manufacturer needs in this weekend’s races at Homestead-Miami Speedway to clinch their respective championships, regardless of the finish of any other driver/car/manufacturer.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (Sunday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. ET on NBC)

Driver
The first to the finish line among the Championship 4 – Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. – will win the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver championship.

Owner
The same rule applies to the owner championship, which involves the No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet, No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota and the No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet. Continue reading

David Levine held the ARCA Racing Series Scott Rookie Challenge points lead for the most of the 2015 season. Kyle Weatherman took over the Rookie points lead by two points in race 19 of 20 at Kentucky, then held off Levine in the season finale at Kansas to claim the title.

Now the two ARCA rivals are taking their battle to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Both are making their Truck Series début in the Ford Ecoboost 200 with Lira Motorsports during Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 20th.

Chris Eggleston Wins First NASCAR K&N West Title, the Sixth for Bill McAnally Racing

With just 12 points separating the top-four drivers before the start of the Casino Arizona 100 at Phoenix International Raceway, leader Chris Eggleston did what he needed to bring his team owner his sixth championship title by the end of the NASCAR K&N West season finale.

Finishing 11th, Eggleston put his No. 99 team in position to win his first K&N West title ending his 2015 championship bid against some tough competitors.  Continue reading

Earnhardt Wins at Phoenix: Harvick, Busch, Truex Join Gordon in Champion 4

A serendipitous sequence of pit stops and a drizzle that turned into a downpour made a winner of Dale Earnhardt Jr. in Sunday night’s Quicken Loans Race for Heroes 500 at Phoenix International Raceway, with a delayed start moving the race from daytime to under the lights by rain in the afternoon.

But again, halting the race due to rain 93 laps short of its scheduled distance of 312 laps was hardly the satisfying conclusion Carl Edwards, Brad Keselowski, Kurt Busch or Joey Logano had hoped for.

Eliminating those four drivers from the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup was disappointing, while defending champion Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. joined Jeff Gordon in next Sunday’s Championship Round at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Continue reading
