Driver Spencer Davis made it official today signing with Venturini Motorsports for seven events in the upcoming 2017 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season.

Eighteen year-old Davis, a member of the 2016-17 NASCAR Next Class, will make his ARCA Series debut at Talladega Superspeedway on May 5th driving VMS’ No.15 Toyota entry. The Dawsonville, Georgia native will also appear in the No.25 Toyota Camry at Pocono Raceway, Michigan International Speedway, Iowa Speedway, Lucas Oil Raceway, Kentucky Speedway and in the series’ finale at Kansas Speedway on October 20.

“This is an incredible opportunity at this stage in my career,” says Davis. “It’s exciting not only to drive for a high-caliber team such as Venturini Motorsports but also because of the type of tracks we built my schedule around. Focusing on the intermediate and superspeedways will give me valuable experience down the road as my career moves forward.”

“This Venturini-Toyota team is proven and capable of winning every time out. With good equipment and personnel I’m excited to get in the seat and soak up as much as I can this season.”

Davis, driving the No.25 for the first time in last month’s ARCA open test at Daytona, was second fastest overall (189.092 mph) among the 63 drivers to post time during the two-day event.

“Testing at Daytona was a cool experience for my first time in an ARCA car,” added Davis. “The test provided me with a great opportunity to work with the team prior to my first race at Talladega. I was happy with how fast I gelled with crew chief Dave Leiner too. Dave is a great communicator and made me feel really comfortable in the seat. I definitely learned a bunch.”

In addition to his abbreviated ARCA schedule Davis will compete in 20 Super Late Model events throughout the year. Davis will unveil sponsorship announcements in the coming weeks.

Since 2015, Davis has made 18 career starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series totaling eight top-five and 11 top-ten finishes. Last year Davis captured his first series win at Dominion Raceway and first pole position award at Mobile Int’l Speedway during the 2016 K&N Pro Series East season.

Following in his father’s footsteps, Spencer Davis began racing in 2005 at the young age of six. It was clear from the start that he had the talent and ability to reach any level in motorsports.

Quickly collecting victories on the local level, Davis began to travel all across the country to participate in national events and compete against the best competition in the country. Davis’s success continued and he was soon recognized as the one to beat at any level of competition.

Since first strapping on the helmet in 2005, Davis has collected over 536 victories and 48 championships from all across the U.S. Combined with the support of his father, Scott, Spencer has his sights set on advancing in the world of motorsports.

At the age of 6, Spencer Davis dominated the Go-Kart circuit while touring the country. After transitioning to Late Models, Davis earned his first major victory at age 12 when he won the prestigious World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway.

In 2012, Davis ran in the Pro and Super Late Models series throughout the Southeast, he earned his first late-model win at Georgia’s Gresham Motorsports Park and going on to win the track championship the same year. In 2013, he ran in over 60 races and finished second in the PASS South Super Late Model standings. During the 2014 season Davis won the Pro Late Model portion of the Pete Orr Memorial also collecting two wins at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing which ultimately led to a Speedweeks Pro Late Model title.
