Richmond Raceway was the battleground for the second race in the opening round of the 2021 Cup Series playoffs. Some short-track action just to add some drama in the early rounds. The racing at Richmond Raceway has provided dramatic moments that have ended the championship hopes of many teams. However, it is a great place to try to steal a win and advance if a driver plays his cards right.

Taylor Gray is credited with a win after Portland penalties to Jake Drew and Eric Nascimento in the ARCA Menards Series Portland 112.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Taylor Gray won Saturday night’s Portland 112 at Portland International Raceway, a victory that marked the 16-year-old’s second win in the ARCA Menards Series West dating back to last season.

He did so despite crossing the finish line third.

Martin Truex Jr wins the playoff race at Richmond Raceway in the NASCAR Cup Series Federated Auto Parts 400 on Saturday evening.

Martin Truex Jr. received a penalty on the opening lap of the race for crossing the start/finish line in front of polesitter Denny Hamlin at the green flag. But 400 laps later Truex led the field across the line again – this time as the race winner of Saturday night’s Federated Auto Parts 400 Salute to First Responders at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.

Noah Gragson led the final 14 laps – holding off the field on a pair of late-race restarts- in Saturday’s Go Bowling 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Richmond (Va.) Raceway to earn his second win in as many weeks – celebrating the moment by wrapping himself in an American flag then climbing the front grandstand fence to a cheering crowd.
