Busch Routs Field to Take Second NCWTS Victory of the Season

In the inaugural NASCAR night race at Kansas Speedway, Kyle Busch put on quite the show. He led 104 laps en route to his first career NCWTS win at the track.

He began the race from the pole and led early despite numerous caution periods that occurred in the first 35 laps.

The biggest challenge Busch faced throughout the night came from Brad Keselowski Racing. Joey Logano had a very strong truck, but he could not manage to hold off the No.51 truck for long. Logano’s teammate Ryan Blaney also gave Busch a run for his money on multiple restarts. Continue reading

Hamlin Holds onto Late Lead for a Talladega Victory

When trouble struck as the white flag was waving, Denny Hamlin was in the perfect position. He was out front and stayed there until NASCAR threw the yellow-flag for debris scattered across the frontstretch. This is the No.11 team’s first victory of the season and the one likely providing a Chase birth.

A mix of drivers led the race early. Paul Menard, Danica Patrick, and Jeff Gordon all shared the top spot before the first caution on lap 14. Continue reading

Just as the Duck Commander 500 looked as though it was over, a game changing late yellow-flag made for a wild final restart. Joey Logano led before the last caution, but strategy by other teams on pit road led to Logano to restarting third.
