The key to winning Saturday night’s Sprint Unlimited was to survive. Following an eight car wreck in the second segment, the field now was half of how many started the race. The remaining half put on a show that came down to the last few laps. It was Denny Hamlin outlasting the field when he sprinted ahead on the last lap. Hamlin was able to hold his position as his closest challengers, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, and Kyle Busch weren’t able to catch up with the dominant Joe Gibbs Racing No. 11 car. Continue reading

The start of a new racing year produces many indefinite details. The 2014 season looms in the balance, but we have no idea what it has in-store. Prior to 2013, there was no hint that Matt Kenseth would win seven races, Tony Stewart would break his leg and miss a large part of the season, or that Jimmie Johnson would dominate en route to his sixth title. Those events were a part of the roller coaster ride of 2013. With the new season approaching, NASCAR prepares to take the wild ride 2014 will have to offer. Continue reading

In the wild, action-packed, and thrilling Camping World Truck Series, anything can happen. The start of each season brings new opportunity for every driver. Whether they are trying to make their name or just make a living, they put all their effort into these trucks with hope of claiming victory. Whether it’s racing on dirt at Eldora, going three wide at Daytona and Talladega, or fighting for room at Martinsville and Bristol, action lives within these trucks and it is renewed each and every February.
It is difficult to predict what will come in this unpredictable series, so taking a wild guess is just as good as making a logical prediction. Below, I give my bold predictions for the upcoming season. Continue reading
Following a very strong 2012 came a rather disappointing 2013 for Team Penske. Brad Keselowski wasn’t able to back his championship up as he didn’t even qualify for the Chase. Joey Logano came in and was most successful for the team, but he wasn’t able to save the championship from falling out of Team Penske’s hands. With 2013 behind Team Penske, they now have their eyes set on returning to winning ways in 2014. The opportunities are endless for the team as their young gun duo has the ability to be incredibly successful this season. Continue reading
