The Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway is the only NASCAR Cup Series race over 500 miles and four stages. The most extended race of the season is just three races after the most extended layoff in NASCAR history.
The Memorial weekend event is a grueling test of endurance and durability for the cars and drivers. Alex Bowman dominated early with Team Penske handling the field in the second half. Joey Logano won Stage 3. Then, Brad Keselowski claimed his first win of the season after a late-race caution. Although there’s a bit of a shake-up near the top of the newest power ranking, the top spot isn’t changing hands quite yet.

Post-Darlington 2, the power ranking for the NASCAR Cup Series reveals a few ups and downs with Denny Hamlin’s win and Chase Elliott’s spin.
The second Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway was an exciting finish. Denny Hamlin was leading the Toyota 500, with Chase Elliott in close pursuit. Suddenly, Kyle Busch nipped the No. 9 car in the rear quarter panel, spinning Elliott around and out of contention. Hamlin wins the rain-shortened race, Busch still finishes second, Kevin Harvick is third, with Brad Keselowski and Erik Jones rounding out the top-five.

NASCAR Cup Series Power Ranking Post-Darlington 1
NASCAR is back. It may look different, with no fans in the stands, drivers wearing masks, and practicing social distancing throughout the facility. Still, for 293 laps around Darlington Raceway, life felt pretty normal again in the racing world. After over two months off, drivers came to one of the circuit’s most demanding tracks to race without practice or qualifying. That gives an advantage to the veterans, holding firm with Kevin Harvick picking up his 50th career win. With that being said, here is the first power ranking in over ten weeks.

The west coast swing is now under wraps. The FanShield 500 at Phoenix Raceway is the last of three races out west following the season-opening Daytona 500. And it ends with the season’s first repeat winner, as Joey Logano picks up his second win of the season. Besides the winner and where everybody finished, the race made headlines for a few other reasons.
