For the second time this year, the Monster Energy Cup Series fired the engines for some action at Michigan International Speedway for the Consumers Energy 400 on Sunday afternoon. Stewart-Haas Racing’s Kevin Harvick prevails after battling last year’s winner Joey Logano for the lead in the final stage of the event. The last leg of the regular season has shown unexpected results, and it is only going to get better coming down to the finale.

The 2019 season has brought its ups and downs for the No. 22 AM Racing team with Texas native Austin Wayne Self behind the wheel. And although they’ve had a few bad days, this past Saturday in the Corrigan Oil 200 at Michigan International Speedway was definitely an up day for Self and his team.

Tyler Ankrum locked up the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year award this weekend at Michigan International Speedway. The 18-year-old DGR-Crosley driver was the only rookie contender to make the 2019 Playoff field; therefore, he was able to clinch the award before seasons end.
