Harvick Clains Fourth Win of the Season

The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series was at Dover International Speedway this weekend to race at the ‘Monster Mile.’ The track offers drivers a similar racing surface to Bristol – a concrete surface with steep, tight banking corners that requires drivers to race at their best because the surface eats up tires. The difference between new tires and older tires is huge here compared to other tracks. Drivers need to worry about not over-driving their cars early in runs because they can overdo it on the tires. NASCAR Cup Series raced at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend in Alabama. This track is the second of two superspeedways the series will race this season. Daytona International Speedway is the other. Talladega is the largest of the two at 2.66-miles around with 33 degrees of banking in the corners. Continue reading →

NASCAR went under the lights last night at Richmond Raceway for their first time back after a renovation to the infield to increase the level of fan involvement. Always cool to see speedways try their best to accommodate race fans. Racing under the lights is definitely a fun experience as it adds an extra level of excitement to racing.
