Kyle Busch Earns First Victory of the Season

After one weekend of short track racing, NASCAR heads to No Limits, Texas for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500. Texas Motor Speedway is a mile and a half track that is still fresh after their repave a few years ago. The repave still makes the track slick causing drivers some issues with grip. Continue reading

As a resident physician at Adventura Hospital in Florida, Dr. Patrick Staropoli is not your typical Super Late Model competitor. He’s not only a graduate from the University of Miami, Dr. Staropoli is also a member of Harvard’s Class of 2012. And a couple of weeks ago, he started his first race of the 2018 racing season by celebrating with his Super Late Model, Jim McCoy Motorsports team at Citrus County Speedway in Florida.  Continue reading

Truex Captures his First Win of the Season

NASCAR’s final race out West was at Auto Club Speedway for the Auto Club 400. This track gives the teams another challenge that is not that big of an issue at other tracks. Tire management is the main challenge to overcome if a team wants to win at this western two-mile track with a surface that has not been repaved in its nearly 21 years of existence. Harvick Comes Back Strong After Receiving Penalty

NASCAR’s second race of the “#NASCARGoesWest” series was at ISM Raceway in Phoenix, Arizona. The TicketGuardian 500 is a short 312 lap race on a one-mile track, consisting of aggressive driving during every stage of the race. This held true on Sunday afternoon with a lot of drivers taking a gamble and racing hard early in the race. Continue reading
