One of NASCAR’s biggest night of racing will be this Saturday night. It’s All-Star Saturday night and the excitement, drama, and action are expected throughout the evening. The All-Star Race is a very special event and often includes a lot of drama, resulting in great racing. Saturday night kicks off with the Sprint Showdown featuring drivers hoping to get into the main event by finishing first or second in the race. NASCAR announced Wednesday the postseason awards dates for the annual NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, set for Monday, Nov. 18 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel in Miami Beach, Fla.

For the fifth consecutive season, the NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will share the awards stage, honoring the series driver and owner champions as well as the top-five drivers in each series.  Continue reading →

After an off and on start to the season for the Camping World Truck Series, the race this Friday at Charlotte is the start of the main part of their season. When they last raced at Kansas, Matt Crafton took home the victory and his win solidified the fact that ThorSport Racing is off to one hot start this season with Crafton and Johnny Sauter. downloadOnly three unclaimed spots remain for Saturday night’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. And 23 drivers will race hard to nab one of them in the Sprint Showdown (7:30 p.m. ET on SPEED), the precursor to the main event scheduled to start at about 9 p.m. ET.

Among that list of 23 are rookies, veterans, winners and former Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup contenders. Three rookies pepper the fields: Danica Patrick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Timmy Hill. Martin Truex Jr. had a career year last year, making the Chase and vying for a championship. He’ll join Jeff Burton and Juan Pablo Montoya as former Chasers who have yet to lock up a spot.
