Harvick kicks-off playoffs with a victory in the NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out Southern 500 on Saturday, September 6th at Darlington Raceway.

The NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs are officially underway. The first Round of 16 is running at three extremely different tracks. They begin this past Sunday night at Darlington Raceway, then the series is heading to Richmond Raceway, before ending at Bristol Motor Speedway. When these three races are complete, four drivers at the bottom of the standings are put below the cutline and no longer eligible for championship contention.

The NASCAR Cup Series have their last doubleheader weekend at Dover International Speedway this weekend. Before the weekend, there are three races left in the regular season, with two races at Dover, and the last race of the season at Daytona International Speedway next weekend. For drivers on the cusp of the playoff bubble, many look to Dover as the place to secure their spot. However, after Dover, the playoff competition is tighter than anyone expected.

Chase Elliott makes history in the NASCAR Cup Series Go Bowling 235 by winning the series’ first-ever race on the Daytona Road Course at Daytona International Speedway.

Adding a wrinkle to the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, NASCAR decided to race at the Daytona Road Course instead of racing at Watkins Glen because of COVID 19 limitations. For the first time, the NASCAR Cup Series raced the infield road course within the superspeedway oval.

Elliott claims first All-Star victory in the NASCAR Cup Series exhibition event on Wednesday, July 15th at Bristol Motor Speedway.

For the second time in thirty-two years, the NASCAR Cup Series All-Star race moved the venue to a different track. The first switch happened in 1986 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The All-Star event, typically at Charlotte Motor Speedway, was moved to Bristol Motor Speedway this season.
