Veteran Johnny Sauter proved once again that the combination of guile and clean air trumped youthful enthusiasm and superior tires.

Despite racing on tires that were 54 laps older than those of his closest pursuer, 18-year-old GMS Racing teammate Kaz Grala, Sauter got 82 laps out of his last tank of fuel at Dover International Speedway and held on to win Friday’s Bar Harbor 200 presented by Sea Watch International. Fourth-generation Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Jeffrey Earnhardt and Circle Sport/TMG team co-owner Joe Falk paid a visit to the Dover media center on Friday to announce a 19-race sponsorship from premium streaming service Hulu on the No. 33 Chevrolet. Continue reading

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Bar Harbor 200 at Dover Preview

Following a week off, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will again hit the track this week at Dover International Speedway for the Bar Harbor 200 on Friday, June 2 at 5:30 pm ET with coverage available on FOX Sports 1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at 5 pm ET.

Matt Crafton is the defending Camping World Truck Series race winner at Dover, while Christopher Bell (third) and Johnny Sauter (fourth) both finished in the top-five in last season’s race. 

Drivers will race 200 miles over 200 laps on the one-mile oval with Stage 1 ending on lap 45 and Stage 2 on lap 90.  The last Stage will end on the last lap 200.  Continue reading

Custer Goes for Another Strong Finish as Dash 4 Cash Returns at Dover

Cole Custer has been racing in NASCAR’s national series for the last four seasons, but at 19 years old, he’s the youngest regular on the NASCAR XFINITY Series circuit.

The two-time national series winner has held his own among the veterans on the XFINITY circuit. He sits 11th in the series standings, on the strength of three top-ten finishes, and would make the playoffs if the season ended today. Continue reading
