2004 saw two first-time winners at Chicagoland Speedway in the NASCAR Busch and ARCA Re/Max Series.

Justin Labonte was trying to make success out of a NASCAR career like his dad, Terry, and ran a part-time Busch Series schedule in preparation for full-time in 2005. After seven races under his belt, the younger Labonte didn’t have a top-ten finish heading into the series’ race at Chicagoland. Continue reading

Kahne Grabs Daytona Victory to Continue Jr Motorsports’ Impressive Season

On the Fourth of July, it was only fitting that the Subway Firecracker 250 featured fireworks at the finish. An intense last two laps allowed many players to emerge in the quest for victory. Once the checkered flag flew, it was JR Motorsports sweeping the top two spots as Kasey Kahne claimed victory. He barely edged out teammate Regan Smith who was strongest throughout the night. Harvick Capitalizes on Keselowski’s Mistake for Kentucky Victory

Friday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series event at Kentucky Speedway seemed as though it was a one-horse race. That is until the one horse was speeding on pit road and served a costly penalty.

Brad Keselowski had the car to beat until receiving the penalty on lap 148. This allowed race-winner Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch to take over the top-two spots as they battled closely for victory. Continue reading
