Despite a snafu in the pits that cost him six positions–temporarily–Kyle Busch steamrolled the field in Saturday’s CNBC Prime The Profit 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Never mind that it took the maximum three attempts at green-white-checkered-flag finishes before the issue was decided, and never mind that the extra laps left the gas tanks of most competitors either empty or very close to dry at the conclusion. Continue reading

Mellow Nationwide Race Goes to Kenseth at Daytona

Friday night’s Nationwide Series race at Daytona wasn’t a typical Daytona race. Four cautions throughout the event left very few cars off the track. Restrictor plate ace Matt Kenseth navigated his way to the front toward the closing laps and a nice draft from Truck Series regular James Buescher propelled Kenseth to his first Nationwide victory with Joe Gibbs Racing. Other than about a five car pileup, the race didn’t see too many wrecks that fans have grown accustomed to seeing in the past. Continue reading

Daytona International Speedway will roar back to life this Friday Night as the Nationwide Series cars embark on the high-speed oval for the second time this season. Back in February, disaster struck in their race. A huge wreck coming to the checker put Kyle Larson’s car into the catch fence, tearing it apart. Many fans were injured and it became a race that many hoped to forget. As the series returns to the track this weekend, a safe and action-packed race is what everyone wants to see. But the name of the race has “firecracker” in it, so there should be some fireworks on display throughout the night. Continue reading

Keselowski Wins Feed the Children 300 at Kentucky

Typically burnouts are not done when its raining, but that didn’t keep Brad Keselowski from trying, after winning the Feed the Children 300 at Kentucky Speedway on Friday night.

After a rain delay, NASCAR declared Brad Keselowski the winner, 30 laps short of the scheduled finish.  And despite the rain, Keselowski did donuts on a wet slippery frontstretch  without the usual smoke cloud signaling his victory celebration.  Continue reading

They’ll turn left, then right, and then right again on Saturday afternoon when the Nationwide Series rolls into Elkhart Lake, WI for their first of three road course races this season. In years past, races at Road America never seem to be lacking excitement. Wild restarts and hot tempers have highlighted past races which always categorize this race as one of the best of season. Turning right might not be these drivers’ forte, but they’ll have to this weekend as they try and claim victory at Road America. Continue reading
