Widely outspoken NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Brad Keselowski driver didn’t wholly defend NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Darrell Wallace Jr. for his critical tweet towards NASCAR last Friday night at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, but the 2012 Cup champion did say the Sanctioning Body could stand to loosen up after fining Wallace $15,000 Wednesday morning.

Kyle Busch Back on Track, Headed to Kentucky

For the first time in a long time, Kyle Busch looked mortal.

Riding a streak of 14 top-five finishes in 17 races dating back to last year – a stretch that included four wins – the defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion delved into a four-race tailspin in which he placed no better than 30th beginning at Dover (30th) and capped off with a 40th at Michigan.

Despite the setback, Busch seems back to his old ways following performances of seventh and second at Sonoma and Daytona, respectively. Continue reading

Brad Keselowski Dominates Chaotic Sprint Cup Race at Daytona

Brad Keselowski had an excellent solution for the massive wrecks that scrambled the finishing order of Saturday night’s Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway.

He stayed ahead of all of them.

Leading 115 of 161 laps in the No. 2 Team Penske Ford, Keselowski sped away from his pursuers after a restart in overtime and posted his third victory of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season in thoroughly convincing fashion.

The victory was Keselowski’s first at Daytona and the 20th of his career, and it reinforced his mastery of restrictor-plate racing—Keselowski already had four wins at sister track Talladega. Continue reading

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, Coke Zero 400 at Daytona Preview

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams are at Daytona International Speedway for the second time this season as the series starts counting down last ten races before the Chase begins at Chicagoland Speedway in September.  On Saturday, July 2nd they’ll race 400 miles over 160 laps in the Coke Zero 400 powered by Coca-Cola with NBC coverage starting at 7 pm ET and a green flag at 7:45 pm ET. Radio coverage is available on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

Smoke Show: Stewart Fires Up Win at Sonoma

Even Smokey the Bear couldn’t have prevented the fire performance Tony Stewart produced in Sunday’s Toyota / Save Mart 350.

Stewart, who paced the field for 22 circuits, lost the lead to Denny Hamlin on the last lap, but moved him off the 11th turn to win his first race since June 2, 2013 at Dover – 110 events ago. The triumph marked Stewart’s first win in 84 starts. Continue reading
