NASCAR’s Nationwide Series drivers are ready for their next race at the world’s fastest half-mile – Bristol Motor Speedway, Friday, August 23rd. Television coverage starts at 7:30pm ET on ESPN (check your local listings) and radio coverage is on PRN, Sirius XM, channel 90.

The Nationwide Series’ points battle is narrowing to just five contenders: Sam Hornish Jr, Elliott Sadler, Regan Smith, Austin Dillon and Brian Vickers. With just 18 points separating them, all five drivers have a real shot at capturing the title. Continue reading

Allmendinger Cruises to Victory at NNS’ Debut Mid-Ohio Road Course

Saturday’s race was a début for the series at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and NASCAR fans were ready in the Buckeye State.  Track management said the turnout Saturday was the best for the track so far this season.

AJ Allmendinger spent most of Saturday afternoon in front, then held on for an extra few laps to earn his second career NASCAR Nationwide Series victory in the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Continue reading

Allmendinger to Drive in Brickyard Grand Prix Grand-Am Race

Open-wheel, NASCAR veteran also plans to compete in Sprint Cup event July 28 at IMS

AJ Allmendinger will add a third race to his Indianapolis Motor Speedway resume later this month, as he will drive for Michael Shank Racing in the Brickyard Grand Prix GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series race Friday, July 26 during the Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard.

Allmendinger will share driving duties in the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford-Riley with Firestone Indy Lights veteran Gustavo Yacaman in the three-hour sports car race on the 13-turn, 2.534-mile Grand Prix road course at IMS. Continue reading
