AJ Allmendinger Testing For Penkse Racing

AJ Allmendinger is driving for Penske Racing once again. Allmendinger will test an IndyCar for Penske Racing on February 18 and 19 at Sebring International Raceway.

AJ Allmendinger is making his return into the racing world after failing a random drug test by NASCAR last summer. Since the failed drug test AJ has driven for Phoenix Racing in a limited number of starts, including more scheduled this up coming season, ran for Michael Shank Racing in the Rolex 24 and will now get a chance to drive an IndyCar for Penske Racing. Future For Allmendinger

AJ Allmendinger has had his ups and downs this season, from suspension to making a comeback. So where will Allmendinger be in 2013?

AJ Allmendinger started the 2012 Sprint Cup season driving for a top owner in Roger Penske and that all changed when he got suspended by NASCAR for failing a random drug test in July. Allmendinger’s suspension ultimately led him to be let go by Penske Racing and starting NASCAR’s substance abuse rehab “Road to Recovery” program. In the process, Allmendinger has been on the path of reclaiming his passion and drive to be part of a Sprint Cup team again. Continue reading

AJ Allmendinger Reinstated by NASCAR

AJ Allmendinger has been reinstated by NASCAR after being indefinitely suspended on July 24.

AJ Allmendinger was suspended for violating NASCAR’s substance abuse policy after failing a random drug test at Kentucky Speedway on July 24th. A few weeks later Allmendinger was fired by Penske Racing. AJ, in a later interview, stated that he failed the random drug test by taking amphetamines. Allmendinger said stress was the biggest factory in taking the drug one time and that stress would be the main emphasis in his “Road to Recovery” program so he could return to NASCAR. Continue reading
