Joe Gibbs Racing continues to shell out talent in NASCAR and its latest prodigy, Erik Jones, has broken the mold.
In ten starts this season, Jones has two victories at Bristol and Dover, two Dash 4 Cash wins totaling $200,000 of bonus money and six top-fives. NASCAR’s new Dash 4 Cash format agrees with Erik Jones – even when his No. 20 Toyota is running on older tires.
Despite staying out on used rubber for a restart with five laps left in Saturday’s Ollie’s Bargain Outlet 200 at Dover International Speedway, Jones pulled away to beat runner-up Darrell Wallace Jr. to the finish line by 1.434 seconds.
The victory was Jones second of the year, both on concrete tracks (Bristol and Dover). He has now won two of the three NASCAR XFINITY Series races held under the new Dash 4 Cash format, which features two heat races and a main event.

FOX will start their pre-race coverage at 2:30 pm ET with a green flag around 3 pm ET and radio coverage on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
Suárez Opens Up Points Lead as Talladega Approaches
Tension within the XFINITY Series championship battle has slightly loosened for standings leader Daniel Suárez after he posted his fourth top-five of the season, increasing his lead to nine points over new second-place driver, Elliott Sadler. Heading into Richmond, Suárez held a six-point lead over Erik Jones.
In eight starts this season, Suárez has posted four top-fives, seven top-tens and an average finish of 6.3 – best among title contenders.
