Crafton Begins Quest For Three-Peat

Matt Crafton ran away with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship last season to become the first driver to win consecutive titles in its 20-year history. The No.88 ThorSport Racing driver visits Daytona on Friday for the first stop on his quest for a three-peat – the NextEra Energy Resources 250 (7:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1). Timothy Peters Holds on for Truck Series Victory in Wild Race at Talladega

Holding off all challengers in a race that went four-wide on the final two laps, Timothy Peters won the Fred’s 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway.

Peters arrived at the finish line .143 seconds ahead of second-place starter and finisher Tayler Malsam. Spencer Gallagher ran third, followed by Tyler Reddick and Ryan Blaney, who trimmed 13th-place finisher Matt Crafton’s lead in the series standings to 17 points with four races left in the season. Conflicting Reports Surround Turner Scott Motorsports

TSMlogoSeveral media outlets are reporting this afternoon that Turner Scott Motorsports is shuttering their Camping World Truck Series operations as of 3 pm this afternoon. While there are confirmations that some Turner Scott Motorsports employees were temporarily laid off as of 3 pm Wednesday afternoon.  There is reason to believe it is not the entire Camping World Truck series operation that is shuttering, but possibly one team.   Continue reading

ThorSport Packs 1-2 Punch

ThorSport has not one, but two drivers at the top of NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series standings following a record-setting performance at Michigan this weekend.

Team drivers Johnny Sauter and Matt Crafton finished 1-2 in Saturday’s Careers For Veterans 200, blazing away from the field in the fastest race in series history with an average speed of 161.1ten mph. The new mark demolished the previous record of 154.737 mph set at Texas Motor Speedway in 2012.  Continue reading

The ARCA Racing Series stays in the Northeast this weekend, traveling from New Jersey Motorsports Park to Pocono Raceway.

The teams will tackle the Tricky Triangle on Saturday for the 58th time in ARCA history.

Looking at the entry list, the name that sticks out the most is Sprint Cup rookie Kyle Larson, who will drive an entry for Turner Scott Motorsports to gain extra track time for Sunday’s race. Continue reading
