Last year, Sheldon Creed won the ARCA Menards Series championship in his first year driving full-time in the series but wasn’t eligible as a rookie due to his previous number of starts.  In 2019, Venturini Motorsports is looking to make a Rookie of the Year contender the series champion as well, having tabbed young 18-year old Christian Eckes to drive their No. 15 JBL Audio Toyota full-time.

Denny Hamlin’s Second Daytona 500 Win Celebration Follows Gibbs Team Tradition

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Denny Hamlin was still grinning Monday morning at Daytona International Speedway, 12 hours after hoisting his second Daytona 500 trophy in victory lane. He met with the media, signed special pieces of speedway memorabilia and received the traditional Daytona 500 winner’s leather jacket during the annual champion’s breakfast.

Denny Hamlin Wins Daytona 500

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season was officially back yesterday with the Daytona 500. With the Clash and Duel races this past week, fans saw unusual racing at Daytona. Drivers were filing in along the top of the track and racing single file. The question was left to be as answered as to how Sunday ’s premiere race was to be run.
