NASCAR Announces 2017 National Series Schedules

Unprecedented Industry Collaboration Triggers NASCAR’s Earliest Schedule Release

NASCAR today announced the 2017 schedules for its three national series, giving fans and stakeholders a significant head start in planning for next season’s thrilling slate.

A credit to unprecedented industry collaboration, specifically the five-year sanctioning agreement between NASCAR and its tracks, the sanctioning body finalized its 2017 schedules months ahead of previous years’ release.

The result: Three unique schedules featuring race tracks that have hosted record-setting races already this season, with the majority of the slate still remaining. Continue reading →

Brennan Poole Handles Talladega Defeat with Pure Class

Brennan Poole was the first car to the start / finish line at the conclusion of Saturday’s Sparks Energy 300 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, but he didn’t win.

Contact between first and second place Joey Logano and Elliott Sadler coming to the checkered flag sent the No. 22 sliding sideways across the track triggering the caution and ending the race.

While it appeared that Poole won the race, NASCAR official deemed the finish under review. Both the No. 48 and No. 1 Chevrolets sat at the start / finish line waiting for official word, it seemed like eternity before the official came declaring Sadler the victor on his Birthday. Continue reading →

Chad Finchum Finds First #NASCAR K&N East Victory at Bristol

Calling Knoxville, Tennessee his home town and Bristol Motor Speedway his home track, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East driver, Chad Finchum captured his first series victory in the Pitt Lite 125 with Martin McClure Racing on Saturday night.

The local team is in their second season, with NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers Eric McClure and Hal Martin as team owners. Early last week they announced their plans for a part-time K&N East schedule this year, with Finchum first up in their No. 39 car at Bristol. Continue reading →

Dash 4 Cash Heat Racing Debuts for NASCAR XFINITY Series at Bristol

Chase Berth and $1,000,000 on the Line in Four Dash 4 Cash Events 

The NASCAR XFINITY Series will take racing back to its roots with Heat races, beginning with the first of four Dash 4 Cash events Saturday, April 16, at Bristol Motor Speedway starting at 12:30 pm ET on FOX Sports 1, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. 

NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers will compete in one of two 50-lap Heat races to become eligible to win $100,000 in the 200-lap Main event. As in years past, the potential for a $1,000,000 total payout stands. New for this year, a driver who wins multiple Dash 4 Cash bonuses will earn a spot in the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase, provided he/she remains eligible per the NASCAR rule book.  Continue reading →
