NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams will race 181.5 miles over 175 laps in the UNOH 175 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 24th at 1 pm ET. Television coverage begins at 12:30 pm ET on FOX Sports 1 with radio coverage on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.
What to Watch For: Eight drivers will compete for the championship in the inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Chase. This past Tuesday, Athenian Motorsports driver, John Wes Townley was given medical clearance to return to NASCAR and ARCA Competition and will take part in the Camping World Truck Series and ARCA races at Pocono Raceway this weekend.
For the past four weeks, Townley has received treatment for mild concussion-like symptoms following a couple of collisions with GMS Racing’s Spencer Gallagher at Gateway Motorsports Park in June. The second crash is what ended the night for both drivers and ignited an on-the-track confrontation and wrestling match. Gallagher later apologized for his part in the incident.
Over the last four weeks, three drivers have stepped into Townley’s seat.
“I’d like to thank Parker Kligerman, Cole Custer and Brady Boswell for filling in for me,” Townley said. “I feel great and I’m looking forward to racing at Pocono this week.”
