Devin Jones Journey from California to NASCAR

Devin Jones grew up in California, becoming one of the youngest IKF go-karting experts ever at the age of 11 and after winning two ‘Duffy’ Grand National Championships in the same year.  Amazingly he also earned WKA’s Grand National ‘Eagle’ and Gold Cup titles as the ‘most winning’ Cadet racer in Southern CA.

And that was just the beginning, inspiring this young racer to move his Devin Jones Racing team east to Moorseville, NC in 2007. Just after his 13th birthday, Jones began racing a Legend Car in the highly competitive series. In his first eight months of competition, Jones won eight races, with 36 top-fives, earning the honor of advancing from Semi-Pro to the Pro class, just two months before his 14th birthday celebration.  Continue reading →

As it has annually for more than two decades, Charlotte Motor Speedway welcomed more than 150 track safety professionals over the weekend for a two-day training session to hone their skills and prepare for the upcoming race season.

Personnel from 10 NASCAR facilities – including Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway – received hands-on safety training for all events at the speedway.
