Jeff Gordon didn’t have the most dominant car on Saturday night at Kansas Speedway, but he was strongest when it all counted.
His victory tremendously aids the No.24 team as they now are pretty much a lock for the Chase. The team has proven consistency in the first ten races, however without a win, consistency means nothing. Now his season means so much more as he will have a have a shot at his fifth title. Chip Ganassi Racing has been waiting a long time for 2014. The team will be introducing their young-superstar in Kyle Larson to the Sprint Cup Series. Larson is a very talented driver which is why CGR has put so much emphasis on this California kid. His rookie season is going to say a lot about this team since they may have picked up the next NASCAR great. Could Daytona be the start of a return to glory for CGR?
