Kasey Kahne made Team Hendrick proud on Sunday at Pocono after he took the win in a day they totally dominated. A wild afternoon started with pole-sitter Jimmie Johnson leading, but when he ran into trouble just shy of the mid-point of the race, Kahne rose to the top spot. Earlier this year, Dupont came under new ownership and is renamed as Axalta Coating Systems. Jeff Gordon has sponsored paint brands such as Cromax Pro so far this season in place of the Axalta name. This weekend at Pocono Raceway marks the first time Axalta will appear on the car where he will run the “firestorm” scheme. Continue reading

Following the race at Dover Sunday, the No. 2 of Brad Keselowski failed post-race inspection. The car was found too low during the inspection process, after the race. This comes on the heels of crew chief Paul Wolfe’s return to top the pit box after a three-week suspension from penalties at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this year.

Martin Truex Jr. failed post-race inspection earlier this year for his car being too low at Texas and resulted in a six-point penalty. Brad Keselowski’s team could be facing the same penalty. Continue reading
