Bloomin’ Onions May Become Scarce After NASCAR Visits Phoenix
Every time Kevin Harvick finishes in the top-ten, customers at Outback Steakhouse can get a Bloomin’ Onion the following day. If there is not a Bloomin’ Onion shortage already – since Harvick is riding a streak of six straight top-two finishes dating back to Texas last year – there will likely be one following Sunday’s CampingWorld.com 500 at Phoenix International Raceway. The No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing driver has won the last three events at PIR and holds the all-time track record with six victories.

Joey Logano summed up his dominating victory in one word.
“Finally!” Logano exclaimed after taking the checkered flag in Saturday’s Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.
Logano had reason to be frustrated. He had finished second in his last four XFINITY Series starts, the last three after winning the pole. And the driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford hadn’t been to Victory Lane in the series since Sept. 28, 2013 at Dover International Speedway. Continue reading →

Kevin Harvick must have been tired of finishing second, because on Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion did something about it.

Favorites
Jimmie Johnson – Fastest in the last two practices, and coming off a win last week. Chad Knaus also seems to have this aero package nailed down. All I have to say is watch out…
Kevin Harvick – Hard to count him out anywhere with how dominant he was last year. He was a bad restart away from giving Johnson a race for the end last week. He has also been fast all weekend.
Joey Logano – Joey will be very fast and will lead the first chunk of the race as he seems to do from week to week. Reason he is not higher is because Todd Gordon was out done last weekend and failed to respond to track conditions like the Nos. 48, 4 and even the No. 2 did.
Dale Earnhardt Jr – Had a very fast car here last year and has said throughout the weekend that he has liked the car. Whenever he has a car he is comfortable with, it is very common to see him out front. Expect another top-five this weekend.
