In another impressive Nationwide Series performance, Kyle Busch is back in victory lane for the third straight race. Busch has been on a roll so far this season and four wins in six races isn’t too bad. He managed to stay out front all night and was there to take the checkered flag when it fell. Although lots of big-time Cup Drivers were in the race, Kyle  Busch was the best of all and that put him in victory lane at the end of the night. Continue reading →

After another Bristol win, Kyle Busch definitely deserves the keys to the Bristol Motor Speedway. Busch has had a tremendous amount of success at Bristol and today’s win in the Nationwide Series race only added to his Bristol dominance. Busch didn’t come away cleanly with this one since rookie sensation Kyle Larson bounced off Busch as they took the checkers and Larson just barely was beaten out. A 2013 turnaround is in full-swing for Busch since he has now won half of the Nationwide Series races this season. Busch is proving he is better than ever this season and today’s victory at Bristol proved that once again. Continue reading →

19-year-old Tucson, AZ native, Alex Bowman competes full-time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series piloting the No. 99 Toyota Camry for RAB Racing. With two major racing series’ Rookie of the Year titles under his belt, 2011 K&N Pro Series East and 2012 ARCA Racing Series, he is currently competing for 2013 Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year.

Starting his season with a third place finish in Daytona, in Phoenix Bowman was involved in an early race incident on lap two, leaving him with a finish of 31st at his home track. Despite the disappointing finish at Phoenix, Bowman currently sits tenth in the point standings as he heads to Las Vegas, only 11 points out of the top five and 25 points behind leader Sam Hornish, Jr.

While Bowman is looking to rebound from a disappointing finish, Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a track he has yet to race. Bowman’s first lap in practice will represent his first lap at the 1.5-mile track in the desert. But don’t expect that to be a handicap for this talented driver. Continue reading →

Heroic

Ordinary NASCAR fans enjoying the Nationwide Series race Saturday afternoon acted heroically when fellow race fans were injured following the last lap crash. No fan expected to be in danger when they entered the Speedway that day but, when disaster struck, fans helped fans to make sure everyone was alright.

In other sporting events, there is little to no evidence that fans have helped each other in the way that some racing fans did following the frightening last lap crash in the Nationwide race. This incident once again proved that NASCAR fans are the best fans in sports. Continue reading →
