Late Pass Gives Tyler Reddick a Camping World Truck Series Victory at Dover

Tyler Reddick had a score to settle with Dover International Speedway, and on Friday he did just that, winning the Lucas Oil 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in his second start at the Monster Mile.

Reddick passed Erik Jones on Lap 193 of 200 and finished 1.255 seconds ahead of Daniel Suarez, who drove past third-place finisher Jones in the closing laps to take the runner-up spot.

The victory was Reddick’s second of the season in the No. 19 Brad Keselowski Racing Ford, and in the driver’s view, it atoned for last year’s eighth-place finish, in which Reddick underestimated the physical toll high-speed racing at Dover can exact. Continue reading →

Call it déjà vu for Grant Enfinger as he starts his 2015 ARCA Racing Series season back in victory lane becoming a back-to back winner at the World Center of Racing – Daytona International Speedway. Today’s Big Story: NASCAR Officiating Takes Center Stage

Two big events headline Valentine’s Day for race fans. At Daytona International Speedway the ARCA Racing Series’ Lucas Oil 200 will air on Fox Sports 1 at 4 pm ET; followed by NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series’ Sprint Unlimited at 8 pm ET on FOX.

A big part of today’s stories include veteran Frank Kimmel – the winningest driver in ARCA history – going for his first Daytona win ever; and veteran Jeff Gordon racing his last Sprint Unlimited – after racing 21 consecutive – as he begins his farewell tour throughout the 2015 season and retires his racing career.

While fans are happy to see drivers and their cars back on the track, what will take center stage for NASCAR is what happens behind the scenes after making several changes on how they will officiate their events.   Continue reading →

Patrick Staropoli Takes Rheumatology Exam, then Top-Three on the Same Day

In trying to give new meaning to the term “double duty”, Patrick Staropoli went from taking a rheumatology exam at the University of Miami at 9 am this past Friday to making a beeline for Daytona ARCA testing, with Empire Racing in the afternoon. Despite getting on-track with only an hour left in the session, Staropoli still ended up top-three on the speed charts.
