Another day in the office for Kyle Busch, results in breaking yet another record! 

Kyle Busch continues to rewrite Nationwide Series records with a dominating performance in the History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon.  Busch successfully held off Kasey Kahne during the last 13-laps to win his sixth race of nine starts in the 2013 season and a record-breaking seventh win at CMS for the series. Aaron’s Drives an End to Hunger in Alabama with Talladega Superspeedway Can Drive 

DTEHAaron’s, Inc. is partnering with the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama to host a can drive at one of the largest sporting events of the year – Aaron’s Dream Weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, May 3-5.

More than 200,000 NASCAR fans attending Aaron’s Dream Weekend at NASCAR’s Most Competitive Track will have an opportunity to help the hungry in Alabama by bringing canned food items to the Aaron’s Corporate Display at the speedway, located just outside of the frontstretch grandstands. Throughout the weekend, Aaron’s associates and can-drive volunteers will be collecting non-perishable food items such as canned meat, dry cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, paper towels, toilet paper and hygiene products. Harvick Takes Rather Calm Sprint Unlimited

Kevin Harvick made it to victory lane Saturday Night in the Sprint Unlimited after doing what he had to do all race. He stayed up front and remained in control of his destiny all-night which propelled him to victory. Harvick stayed out of trouble by staying up front and he learned a whole lot about these new cars on the high banks of Daytona. The race, however, didn’t live up to the carnage-filled hype which many fans expected.

The first segment started out pretty wild when many drivers made their way to the front and one little mistake took out five cars. On lap 15, Tony Stewart came down in front of Marcos Ambrose but, Stewart wasn’t clear and Stewart half-slid on the apron before saving his car. The drivers behind Stewart checked-up and they started bumping one another which ultimately led to a wreck. Jimmie Johnson slowed up and got bumped from behind by Denny Hamlin which made Johnson spin in front of the pack and collect many other cars. Kyle Busch had nowhere to go and ran into the wrecking Johnson and Hamlin. Jeff Gordon was also tied up in the wreck and Mark Martin got turned up into the wall while trying to avoid the whole incident. Continue reading →

The day all race fans have been waiting for since November has finally arrived. After a long off-season, NASCAR will be back and under the lights Saturday Night at the Daytona International Speedway for the Sprint Unlimited.

This all-star type race will feature all of last season’s pole winners along with any past winners of this race (the race was formerly called the Budweiser Shootout). Get ready race fans because NASCAR is finally back and the 2013 season is ready to set sail.

The most interesting thing about this race is that we still don’t know the logistics of the race such as format, mandatory pit stop, possible elimination and the way the field will be set. All of these factors will be voted on by you, the fans, and fans have already been voting since January. Fans will decide the factors I list above and some of those factors won’t even be revealed until the drop of the green flag on Saturday night. The race format will be unveiled in the coming days and it could be a three segment format with the segments consisting of 40/20/15 laps, or 35/30/10 laps, or 30/25/20 laps.
