MonStar: No One Better at Dover than Jimmie Johnson
Last season, Jimmie Johnson notched his tenth career win at Dover International Speedway – aka the Monster Mile – to become just the fifth driver to visit Victory Lane at least ten times at a single track.

William Byron had a ‘good night’ last Friday.
The Kyle Busch Motorsports driver captured his first win in only his fifth career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start. Byron, who led the first 33 laps of his career earlier in the race, retook the point on the last go-around of NASCAR Overtime to take the victory that virtually guarantees him a spot in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Chase. Brennan Poole was the first car to the start / finish line at the conclusion of Saturday’s Sparks Energy 300 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, but he didn’t win.
Contact between first and second place Joey Logano and Elliott Sadler coming to the checkered flag sent the No. 22 sliding sideways across the track triggering the caution and ending the race.
While it appeared that Poole won the race, NASCAR official deemed the finish under review. Both the No. 48 and No. 1 Chevrolets sat at the start / finish line waiting for official word, it seemed like eternity before the official came declaring Sadler the victor on his Birthday. Continue reading →

Tyler Reddick had a score to settle with Dover International Speedway, and on Friday he did just that, winning the Lucas Oil 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in his second start at the Monster Mile.
Reddick passed Erik Jones on Lap 193 of 200 and finished 1.255 seconds ahead of Daniel Suarez, who drove past third-place finisher Jones in the closing laps to take the runner-up spot.
The victory was Reddick’s second of the season in the No. 19 Brad Keselowski Racing Ford, and in the driver’s view, it atoned for last year’s eighth-place finish, in which Reddick underestimated the physical toll high-speed racing at Dover can exact. Continue reading →
