This week centers around Bristol Motor Speedway Charlotte Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, and Gander RV & Outdoor Truck Series.

  • Then, we preview the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series races at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Hard Rain Postpones NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series Races at Charlotte

Hard rain forced the postponement of Wednesday night’s Alsco Uniforms 500 NASCAR Cup Series race until Thursday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The rain, as described by FOX Sports broadcaster Mike Joy is ‘the party guest that will not leave.’

Midweek racing takes center stage as NASCAR returns after a ten-week halt.

Midweek racing scores big in NASCAR after the COVID 19 pandemic shut down racing since mid-March. As a hot topic in racing, the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series midweek races at Darlington Raceway are a huge deal. Up to this past week, the Southern 500 weekend was the only Darlington event on the schedule. The notorious ‘Lady in Black’ was the host for three additional events with two of those races running midweek. Some tracks are losing their dates to a modified schedule. So, Darlington Raceway and Charlotte Motor Speedway, next week, are filling the void.
