In another impressive Nationwide Series performance, Kyle Busch is back in victory lane for the third straight race. Busch has been on a roll so far this season and four wins in six races isn’t too bad. He managed to stay out front all night and was there to take the checkered flag when it fell. Although lots of big-time Cup Drivers were in the race, Kyle  Busch was the best of all and that put him in victory lane at the end of the night. Continue reading

Brian Scott may have found the home he’s been looking for to get his NASCAR career jump started. In what is now his fourth full Nationwide Series season, 2013 is the year that Scott needs to show he belongs, and so far he’s doing just that. Paying dividends is an off-season move from Joe Gibbs Racing to Richard Childress Racing

Scott began driving early on for Braun Racing in 2009 and 2010 and then later the power house Joe Gibbs Racing in 2011 and 2012. While Scott did have limited success along the way, it was never consistent and Scott never seemed able to take advantage of the highly successful program that Gibbs has in place for the Nationwide Series. Crashes have marred many events along the way, which have eliminated potential for higher finishes throughout the course of a given season. Continue reading

downloadRick Hendrick’s journey began on his family’s tobacco farm, a stone’s throw from the small Virginia community of Palmer Springs. It was there, south of Richmond near the North Carolina border, where his father instilled the value of a hard day’s work and a pure passion for the automobile.

Under the watchful eye of “Papa Joe,” that love of cars led Hendrick into the world of auto racing. At age 14, he made a name for himself by setting speed records at a local drag strip with a self-built 1931 Chevrolet. Two years later, the self-described “gearhead” won the Virginia division of the Chrysler-Plymouth Troubleshooting Contest, a competition for engine builders. He was just 16. Continue reading
