Despite a snafu in the pits that cost him six positions–temporarily–Kyle Busch steamrolled the field in Saturday’s CNBC Prime The Profit 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Never mind that it took the maximum three attempts at green-white-checkered-flag finishes before the issue was decided, and never mind that the extra laps left the gas tanks of most competitors either empty or very close to dry at the conclusion. Continue reading

There will be more on the line June 28 during the NASCAR Nationwide Series Feed the Children 300 at Kentucky Speedway than most races.

This year, the Kentucky race will be the qualifier for the “Dash 4 Cash,” the beginning of the popular NASCAR Nationwide Series program that could result in a $1 million payout to one talented driver. As it has annually for more than two decades, Charlotte Motor Speedway welcomed more than 150 track safety professionals over the weekend for a two-day training session to hone their skills and prepare for the upcoming race season.

Personnel from 10 NASCAR facilities – including Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bristol Motor Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Martinsville Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway – received hands-on safety training for all events at the speedway. Official 2013 Sprint Cup Schedule

The official 2013 Sprint Cup schedule is finally out. You can now book those travel plans for your favorite race. The schedule is practically identical to this past season so no one’s plans will change. Kansas Speedway, October 6, and Talladega Superspeedway, October 20, will swap back their original dates from 2011. The dates were swapped in 2012 due to the repave at Kansas Speedway. We can expect bigger changes in 2014 but here is the official 2013 Sprint Cup schedule. Continue reading
