Even though it seems the drivers were in Pocono a few weeks ago, it’s time to head back to the tricky triangle for a second go around. June featured another dominant performance by Jimmie Johnson and he is be looking to do the same thing again this weekend after coming so close at Indy last week. The ‘tricks’ Pocono has up its sleeve this weekend could come at any of its three corners. Fans never know what might unfold when the Sprint Cup Series drivers enter the only track with three turns on the circuit, so Sunday’s race will be a good one to watch. Continue reading

From dirt, to a triangular shaped race track, the Truck Series has had its variety over the past week-and-a-half. Although Eldora was unique and exciting, it’s time to move on and inch closer to crowning this year’s champion. With Pocono on the schedule for only a few seasons, drivers are figuring out the triangle quickly, making for phenomenal racing. ARCA Racing Series Winner is ready to tackle the ‘Tricky Triangle

Since making the announcement to drive for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) behind the wheel of the No. 51 Tastee Apple/Ingersoll Rand Toyota Tundra in four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) races in 2013, Chad Hackenbracht has had the 2.5-mile “Tricky Triangle” circled on his calendar. As the 2012 winner of the ARCA Racing Series August race, the 21-year-old New Philadelphia, Ohio native is ready to get back behind the wheel of the No. 51 Tundra and this time, he’s looking for redemption at one of his favorite tracks – Pocono (Pa.) A Second Chance for Erik Jones at the Tricky Triangle

The ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards is set to return to Pocono Raceway on Friday August 2, and no driver is more excited than 17-year-old Erik Jones. In early June, Jones put on one of the most exciting races of the year. Leading for over a quarter of the race, it looked as though he and his No. 15 Venturini Motorsports team were going to wrap up their very first victory in the ARCA Series, but a miscalculation of fuel left Jones scrambling. Storming past every car with only a few laps remaining, Jones left the “Trick Triangle” in the runner up position to Chase Elliot. Unsatisfied with their performance, Jones and Crew Chief Kevin Reed are eager to go back and get the victory.  Continue reading
